Cancer Information & Support Event
You must book a space to attend this event
After being diagnosed with cancer, you, and those around you, may be experiencing many worries, concerns and uncertainties. Cancer can affect every aspect of your life, not just your physical wellbeing. This “Market Stall” type event will enable you and your guest to find out more about services available to support your physical, emotional, practical and social wellbeing. We hope that everyone leaves the event feeling that you are not facing your concerns alone, and that everyone feels more confident in knowing who to contact for support and guidance.
You will be
- Offered refreshments on arrival.
- Introduced to a wide variety of support services.
- Given the opportunity to find out more about the services that you are interested in while chatting with the “Market Stall Holders”.
- Able to speak with others who may be sharing similar experiences to yourself.
- Able to chat with our “patient experts by experience” who kindly volunteer to support you.
- Offered free parking for the event.
On arrival at the hospital, should you need assistance in finding the venue please go to the Community Hub in the main entrance where a volunteer will assist you.
If you have confirmed your place and are unable to come, your guest is welcome to attend on your behalf. Alternatively call 01623 672333 to rebook.
